LAUREAMKO trains international tutors twice a year to help, guide and befriend the new students to get started in their study path and Finnish life. Besides studying and school problems, non-Finnish students might find it difficult to adapt Finland’s culture and habits. This is what tutors are for!

Tutors are trained in two day long training and after that they can choose to be exchange student tutors, degree student tutors or both. It is also possible to get 3 credit points from well done tutoring. Once trained to be a tutor, always a tutor….this work easily grabs a hold of you.

With help of LAUREAMKOs international secretary and representative, tutors work is to besides being support for students, be part of arranging orientation program which includes Arrival days, Helsinki City tour, Survival Finnish evenings, Degree and exchanges orientation days. All full of fun, new experiences and nice people.
