Local actors are the students voice in the local unit

Local actors are part of LAUREAMKO’s organization in seven local units. The local actors job is to monitor the welfare of the students in different local matters and to arrange local happenings in their own unit. Their job is also to act as an information channel between different interest groups, like between the student union, students and the Laurea University of Applied Sciences. Other interest groups are different associations, the school personnel, companiesn and sponsors.

Every member of the LAUREAMKO has a possibility to join LAUREAMKO’s local unit. The term of the local actors is one calendar year and they are chosen in the end of autumn semester. There is also a possibility to take part to action during the semester, like in different workshops. The local units arrange also different kind of student events and help is always wanted.

The activities of the local units are not just working hard but hanging out together, planning events, having fun, playing games, going away together. Being a part of local work is very rewarding and you will be given the chance to truly influence things of your local unit and of the LAUREAMKO.
