What benefits do i get with the student card?
From below you will find the benefits which are valid at the moment with the SAMOK - student card. The benefits are growing all the time so we advice you to show your card everywhere.
Many companies and culture places give benefits with the student card even though they havent made an official contract with the Student Unions. This is one of the reasons why some of the benefits are not shown on our pages.

With the student card you'll always prove that you are a student. Always remember to show your student card and ask for a student price.
For example fairs, art shows, museums, gyms, magazines and restaurants usually give student prices.
Kela's cafeteria discount
A meal with student price in any restaurant of a University or a University of Applied Sciences in Finland.
Golf areena
Offers students apossibility to join student club and practice golf at pleasant indoor golfingfacility during the winter season 2011-2012. Student club members receive a 50% discount during weekdays between 14-16pm and pay only 7€/hour/station. Student club membership fee is 5€/person.

90 gredits completed and over 20 year-old students have the possibility of getting a Visa Card. Remember that you cannot have any bad payment records.

If Accidental insurance
Group Sampo Insurance for Students and the IF-contract of the organisation. When making hte insurance ask them to take a photo copy of your student card and mention you Student Union (LAUREAMKO) for them to check your membership. More information about the insurance discounts from 010 515 200 week days between 8-20.

Discount for the hostels 2,5 euros / night / person. A member can also attain a Hostelling International - card at a discount price of 12 euros (normally 17). With the card a member benefits from the discount prices from all HI-hostels around the globe. A group card (10 members min.) can be purchased with 50 euros.

Newspaper Helsingin Sanomat offers -50% discount for the students.
